That's me. The pic was taken at dawn on the longest day last year. I was at the top of the second of the three peaks. My friend used my camera phone and I liked the colourings, so it has made it on to this page.

What else? I'm 33. I've written a book, but (unfortunately) I'm not an author by day. I work in the city as an Online Marketing Manager. I felt that the time I spent comuting from Essex was being wasted reading The Metro or sleeping, so I began to write. For this reason it has taken over 2 years to complete the book, but now I feel ready to share it with you.

As you may have read, the book is a legacy for my son. I hope that one day his children, will go with their children, to the British Library in search of the book, and to find out a bit about their Great Grandfather.

I like the idea of that.

Between the book edits I'll be tweeting and updating this blog with amblings of my mind; so hopefully as we progress you'll find out some more about me.

The other part of 'The who' is you (that would make a good lyric for a song...I might come back to that). I need your help to get this book on that shelf. Initially I need help with editting; the grammer, sentence structure and word use - my only training is a 'C' in GCSE English, the invaluable On Writing by Stephen King and reading lots (as an aside my favourite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, The Tao of Pooh and The Alchemist). Throughout I will also be looking for your input on flow, tempo, plot evolution - what would make the book more enjoyable to read. Finally we then need to get it out there, and that will be time to track down an Agent and a Publisher.

So I need 'The who' to be a collection of creative, imaginative and inspiring people who are willing to produce the first book that has been edited and published with the help of social networks and social media (I've researched and can't find another).
